Everyone knows the story of Walt Disney’s film “Frozen”, but did you know how it can help your business?
In 2013 Walt Disney Animation StudiosTM produced "Frozen", the most successful animation film of all time. Today the story of a fearless princess who sets off on an epic journey is a cultural phenomenon, whose story, songs and characters influence the lives of children and adults around the world.

Beccles Open Gardens
Sat 2nd Jul 2016 - Sun 3rd Jul 2016
Beccles Open Gardens 2016 is taking place on Saturday 2nd July and Sunday 3rd July between 11am and 5pm as part of the Beccles Charter Weekend.
We are showcasing approximately 15 Beccles gardens (small, large, wild, cottage, pristine, have an interesting feature etc)
The event’s proceeds will be going to the NSPCC Beccles District to:
• help prevent any form of child abuse or exploitation;
• provide the means for children at risk to seek help; and
• give support and advice to concerned adults.
At a national level, the NSPCC works with all relevant governmental and social welfare bodies, seeking to educate, inform and influence legislators and policy makers about the scale of the problem and the damage that is being caused to our young people.
The NSPCC 24-hour emergency service, “CHILDLINE” (0800 1111) provides trained and sympathetic counsellors who can listen to and help children who are suffering - or fearing – abuse. Almost 2,000 landline calls were made from Suffolk numbers in 2015/16 (63 from NR34 - Beccles area) and landlines account for only 30% of the total calls received: mobile calls cannot be categorized. Social networks and email are also used.
The NSPCC’s “Child Protection HELPLINE” (0808 800 5000) gives advice and guidance to any adult concerned that child abuse may be happening – or is at risk. Over 650 landline calls were made in one year from Suffolk numbers. In addition, parents are helped to discuss the dangers of abuse, using non-threatening language, with the “PANTS” initiative.
On average, there will be 2 children in EVERY primary class of 30, who are suffering some form of abuse. To encourage them to seek help, the NSPCC sends teams of trained advisors into all primary schools, with the clear message to “SPEAK OUT and STAY SAFE” (SOSS).
Tickets for “Beccles Open Gardens 2016” are available on both 2nd and 3rd July from our three hubs:
• Beccles Museum – Leman House, Ballygate, Beccles NR34 9ND – showcasing a special temporary exhibition commemorating the First World War will be open at Beccles Museum from 11am until 4.30pm on both days, focusing on Beccles and the war effort in 1916.
