FA Mashup taking place at Denes High School every Thursday.
The FA Vauxhall Mashup is fun football with your mates.
We are looking for participation from 14-16 year old girls.
All abilities are welcome, as the Mashup is all inclusive.
Mashup promotes social interaction in a football environment, where we are looking to inspire and empower young girls.
The sessions will involve music as well as social media elements, all based around the beautiful game.
We will be holding the Mashup every Thursday, 4pm - 5pm at the Community Sports Centre at Ormiston Denes Academy.


Weekly Fit-Club
Every Thursday Commencing May 8th from 1.00-2.00pm
No need to book just go along to Sparrows Nest Lowestoft which will be FREE & open to ALL levels of fitness
Exercises will vary weekly from 'circuit' based work to power walking.
No equipment requirement, just bring a bottle water, a mat (optional), a friend - oh and bags of enthusiasm!!
Children welcome as can play in the enclosed park alongside the green where we will be exercising.
**Nutritional advice available** Bookings will be taken for FREE 'Wellness Evaluations' including full body composition analysis!

Open Day

Open Day at The Seagull Community Theatre, Morton Road, Pakefield on Saturday August 2nd from 10.00 am - 4.00 pm. If anyone has ever wanted to find out how plays are chosen, rehearsed and presented, this is a unique opportunity to do so.
The whole Seagull building will be open to the public including the Studios, with a chance for youngsters to have a free taster session with PAPA (Pakefield Academy of Performing Arts) and/or Theatre Train and toddlers to join in with Mattie & Mimi's toddler music class. Interested in War gaming? The War Gamers will be available all day for anyone to pop along and join in or just watch. In the foyer there will be refreshments at very reasonable prices, information about volunteering at the Seagull and displays featuring some of the groups who use the Seagull as their base.


Summer Fete

Oulton park care centre on union lane oulton broad, will be having a summer fete on the 2nd of August at 2pm til 5.30pm in the main gardens there will be several entertainers including Oulton broads vocal harmony group, Faye Bedford's dance school, Miniature ponies, The dog agility team, and the Zulu warriors as well as various refreshments available and many craft stalls to have a look around.

On Saturday 2nd August from 10am - 3pm a fete is being held at Horning Village green, swan green, playing fields and village hall
stalls with locally produced products like fudge, cakes and preserves, there are also jewellery, bric a brac, book and games stalls. Johnny Jaffacake kicks off the children's fun day at 11am in the Village hall followed by a host of activities on the playing fields (bouncy castle, go karting, games). We'll also be welcoming the "Spirit of Coltishall" (fighter cockpit), Doug the Dalek and the fire department with their engine.


The scarecrow competition runs from Monday 27th July, hunt down all the scarecrows in the village and guess their name for prizes

Charity Fundraising Event

Breakthrough Beccles are holding a charity fundraising event on the evening of Friday 15th August, starting at 6pm - endurance go-karting at Ellough Park Raceway, near Beccles:

Teams of 4 ladies, or 3 ladies and one man wearing pink(!), 15 minute qualifying followed by 1.5 hours racing with 5 driver changes during that time. Normal price for team endurance events is £140, but our event can be enjoyed for £120, £30 per person. Trophies for the winning team, plus celebratory fizz, and refreshments after the event to reward everyone for their efforts. The best bit........Ellough Park Raceway is donating every penny from the entry fees to Breakthrough Breast Cancer via Breakthrough Beccles.

Whether experienced or complete novice, this will be an evening to get together with friends, have fun and raise money for a good cause. Teams can contact Breakthrough Beccles through our Facebook page, or contact me on this email address, kkrobertson65@gmail.com

Gala Day

Lowestoft Lions annual Gala Day in Everitt's Park on Bank Holiday Monday 25th August.
Maiden in Distress Competition.
All materials for the raft will be supplied and there is a prize pool of £300.
The event is open to anyone including pubs, clubs, businesses, families or groups of friends.
A team of four people to build and paddle the raft (hopefully on the surface of Oulton Broad) and one 'extra' maiden to rescue from the pontoon and bring back to shore (hopefully dry).
