The annual Harvest Festival Parade Service will be held in Pakefield's beautiful clifftop church on Sunday, 11th October, at 10.30.a.m. During the service, gifts of tinned and packaged food will be accepted and will later be distributed to those in need. Clean clothes can also be brought along and will be forwarded to a refugee distribution centre.

Later in the day, at 6.30.p.m., there will be a special "Songs of Praise" with traditional hymns for everyone to come along and enjoy.

"Seabreeze Club" which was devastated by fire in August to raise money for
their favourite charity the Macmillan Nurses. Tickets are £5 doors open at

Great Yarmouth Road Runners Leathes Prior East Coast 10k Run.

Race HQ is St Georges Theatre.

Race starts at 10.30am from St Georges Park in Gt Yarmouth.
The route heads south down the seafront to Main Cross Road before turning back north to Beaconsfield Road. The runners will then turn south again to Main Cross Road before returning to St Georges Park.

Rookery Park Golf Club will be the venue later this month for a fashion show
in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
Lowestoft Lifeboat fundraising committee has arranged for clothing retailer
Bonmarche to show a selection of their latest fashions at the Golf Club.
Their women’s wear ranges being modelled will include casual and formal
separates, outerwear and accessories.
Tickets for the event, which starts at 6.30pm, cost £8 per person and
includes a complimentary glass of wine or a soft drink.
Pre booking is desirable and tickets are available from the Lifeboat Shop on

Beccles Christmas Light Switch On

The Beccles Christmas Light Switch take place on Friday 27th November - and it’s going to be another fantastic year!

The fun begins with the lights being switched on at 6pm by Breakfast on The Beach's Paul Carter plus the cast from Jack & The Beanstalk, along with The Mayor

Amongst the live entertainment acts on the main stage will be Tom Elgie, The Lowestoft & Beccles Rock Choir with street entertainment provided by the ever popular Suffolk School of Samba plus a few surprises!

There is always a great variety of stalls selling festive gifts, crafts, toys and decorations alongside wonderful street food and drink including of course mulled wine!

Stocks Funfair will be present with a variety of children’s rides and a fantastic range of independent shops open late on the night too

There is even live Reindeer and Father Christmas will be taking up his usual residence in the grotto in the Church Tower

The popular Beccles Christmas Tree Trail will be launched on the night (running through until Christmas Eve) and Hungate Church will be staging its ever popular three day Christmas Tree Festival. For more information please click the link
