Classic Car Run Show
Sun 12th Jul 2015
We are delighted to announce that the 4th Centre 81 Classic Car Run and Show will begin at The Boathouse situated on the beautiful Ormesby Broad. A 60 mile idyllic route through the wonderful Norfolk countryside can be enjoyed by all before arriving in Great Yarmouth.
The location for our comfort stop is ‘under wraps’ at the moment but will be providing hot food, drinks and homemade cakes all to their usual high standard, on an order on arrival basis.
As in previous years we will end our run at the Marina Gardens, adjacent to the Sealife Centre on Great Yarmouth seafront, where the show will be held. We are hoping to make it another amazing family event and spectacle for everyone to enjoy.
The Run and Show are open to everyone with a classic or unusual vehicle. However because of the show area and the family atmosphere that has generated over the last three years, which we wish to keep, it does mean that we are restricted on the number of vehicles that we can accept into the event.
All vehicles will be entered automatically into the appropriate show competitions as they arrive.
This year we will be presenting trophies for:
Best in Show
Trophy donated by Mr Edward Hayden
Plus some new categories that are still to be decided!!!
Prizes will also be presented for:
The “Drippiest Award”
(the vehicle that drips the most oil!)
“I’m Exhausted Award”
(the vehicle that has travelled the furthest to get to the start)
The judging of the vehicles will take place at 15:00 hours
Presentation of the Centre 81 Classic Car Trophies and Prizes at 16:00
Entry is £15 per car and includes route book, rally plate and discount vouchers valid for the day

Lowestoft Summer Festival
Thu 16th Jul 2015 - Sun 19th Jul 2015
The Lowestoft Summer Festival is a four-day event, from 16th – 19th July, when a partnership of Lowestoft Vision, Lowestoft Rising, Lowestoft lions Club and Lowestoft’s Rotary Clubs are organising a series of events which, it is hoped, will inspire residents of Lowestoft, and visitors to the town, to come along and have fun. It is hoped this will become an annual event.
Lowestoft Lions Club, and the Rotary Clubs, will use the Summer Festival to raise funds, and your support at these events will help to secure its future, as well as help those in need in Lowestoft.
The Parade on the Prom will take place on Sunday 19th July 2015, setting off from Kensington Road at 2.00pm. The accompanying street collection will be raising money for local based charities and projects. The Parade on the Prom will finish on the Royal Green. No vehicles will be allowed.
To help assist us we are looking for eight sponsors , who will gain publicity and can be part of the judging panel on the day.
