Lowestoft Summer Festival - Festival on the Green

Following the success of the 2015 event the Lowestoft Summer Festival returns from the 9th July to the 24th July 2016.
The festival includes welcomes the return of Street Velodrome and Parade on the Prom as well as welcoming new events including Festival on the Green.
Lowestoft Summer Festival enters its final weekend with the showcase event on Royal Green.
Entertainment takes place throughout the weekend with acts on our main stage with host Kenny Cantor, the entertainment includes performances from Cantor’s Theatre Schools, The Longshoremen shanty singers and the final of Lowestoft Got Talent with the Seagull theatre.
Younger visitors will enjoy the wide selection of children’s rides and inflatables whilst older visitors can explore the gift and craft stalls which will be open throughout the event.

As part of the 2016 Lowestoft Summer Festival, Lowestoft Lions will be hosting the annual sandcastle competition.
The competition will take place on Sunday 24th July on Lowestoft South Beach from 11am - 12pm.
The competition is open to team of up to 6 people but must have at least 2 adults in each team. We would also recommend that you bring your own buckets and spades although some will be available.

Raising Money for Charity

It's being held on Sunday September 4th at Boston Lodge, Boston Road, Lowestoft. NR32 1UG. Entries open and 10.30 Judging starts at 11.30.

We are a group of parents and carers raising money for our children and young people who have been selected to represent the East of England at the Special Olympic National Games 2017 in Sheffield.

The show is aimed at participation and fun, something that is extremely close to our hearts. There are lots of prizes for all. Games, refreshments, pet supplies and a pre loved will all be in attendance.

We would love to see as many people there as possible.

26th Annual Brampton Plough Day & Country Fayre on Sunday 4 September 2016 on the A145 at Brampton raising money for the Louise Hamilton Trust at JPH and Quidenham Hospice.
Attractions include tractor ploughing competition, crawlers, heavy horses, thrashing demonstrations, steam engines, stationary engines, vintage cars, dog agility, dog show, punch and judy, live music, bar, refreshments, paravanni ice cream, Nora's fudge, raffle, various other stalls and attractions.
