Lifeguard Applications

The RNLI, who will patrol Lowestoft and Southwold beaches this summer, are on the lookout for new lifeguards and a chance for you to be involved in 'Britains best summer job.'
The RNLI are looking for fit and healthy strong swimmers aged over 16.
Candidates must also have a surf lifesaving qualification, the course for which will be held on Lowestoft South Beach between April 14 and April 19, costing £230.

Tias Treasures 3rd Birthday

Come along and help us celebrate Tias Treasures 3rd Birthday and raise funds for Autism Anglia, Norfolk SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) and The Ryan Appeal, Ryan is a local man recently diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

Photography by Sarah Hartley, Meet and Greet the The Tias Treasures Monkey, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, The Gorleston Green Ranger, Dr Who and Daleks, Spiderman, Star Wars, The Hopton Ghosthunters and Cinderella.

There will also be a Punch and Judy Show, Face Painting, Glitter Tattoos, Balloon Modelling, Raffle and Tombola with some fantastic prizes donated by local businesses, Competitions, Fun and Games such as Hook a Duck and Name the Easter Chick and various Craft Stalls including Tias Treasures handmade jewellery and the chance to create your own sand sculpture.

All taking place on Saturday 19th April from 1:00pm - 5:00pm at The Cliff Hotel, Cliff Hill, Gorleston
Suggested donation of 50p for Children and £1 for Adults, Babies FREE.

We won't be touring the indoor cats as demand is far too high for our cats to cope with and even the friendliest cat can get too stressed. However, our free-roaming residents will be more than happy to accept strokes and fussing!

Great Yarmouth Scavenger Hunt 2014

The Great Yarmouth Scavenger Hunt is taking place on April 26th 2014 raising money for The Leah Wilby Foundation. We need teams of up to 5 people to undertake the hunt which sends the teams off for 7 hours to complete as many of the list of 70 challenges as they can. Challenges fall into one of 3 categories; find it, make it & do it, each challenge has a set amount of points for completion, but extra points are awarded for creativity and originality. The hunt kicks off from Mocha Coffee Lounge on Regent Street, at 9am with teams able to register and collect lists from 8am. The winners will be announced at an evening ceremony where we'll also be holding a raffle to raise further money for Leah's Lounge. Prizes include weekend use of a sports car courtesy of Sidegate Motors, passes to Pleasurewood Hills and other local attractions and much more. Raffle tickets are available from Mocha at £1 each or a strip of 5 for £4.

Classic Vehicle Rally & Country Fayre 2014 Bungay Area Lions Club is holding another Classic Vehicle Rally & Country Fayre in the grounds of Earsham Hall, Bungay, NR35 2AN on Sunday 4th May, 2014.
There will be plenty to see - classic cars, motorcycles, tractors and both commercial and military vehicles. Other attractions on the day will include food and craft stalls, licensed bar, trade stands, auto jumble, children's games, entertainers and workshops. Funds raised from the event will go to local Lions causes.
Gates will open from 10am until 5pm. Entry to the public will be £3 for adults - under 16s free.

There will be mixture of entertainment happening during the course of the day which will include Music from Moore Music Roadshow, arena acts and much more to be released over the coming weeks.
