DT12 sports coaching run by international and professional rugby player Dave Tiueti is
running a program with schools in 2 six week blocks with a tournament on the 6th week of each block. starting on the 15th April and the first tournament is on 23rd May at Corton Playing Field 11am - 4pm., than have a break for half term and start again with a tournament on the 11th July.
Many of the local schools are involved an each tournament day will be full of family fun including bouncy castle, rugby workshops, giveaways and more,

Abseil Down Pakefield Church Tower

Brave souls with a head for heights are being invited to challenge themselves by abseiling down the tower of the Church on the Cliff at Pakefield on Saturday 1st June starting from 10am.
The abseil down the 60 feet high church tower is being overseen by former Royal Marine Christopher Pretty of Halesworth who is a member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors and has abseiled down many high buildings across Norfolk & Suffolk.
The abseil is fully insured and prospective abseilers are required to raise a minimum of £20 in sponsorship with funds being shared between Pakefield Church and Lowestoft RNLI Lifeboat. Abseiler's need to be at least 16 years of age but there is no upper age limit.
On the day there will be a bouncy castle for young children to enjoy and plenty of food and drink for sale including bacon butties, ice-creams and cream teas.

Sponsored dog walk and family fun day. It is to be held on Sunday 16th June 2013 in the National Nature Reserve on Benacre Estate.
There will be a 2 mile route and a 7 mile route through woodland and along the beach. The event will take place rain or shine from 10.30am - 5pm. Once dogs and owners have completed their walk they will each receive a rosette and goody bag.
Other attractions include, Waggy Tails agility Display Team, The Suffolk Spitfires Fly Ball Team, a Dog Scurry, Fun Dog Show, Gundog Display an Exhibition from the Natural England team, Animal charity stalls, Stands selling pet related/country products and services, Food/refreshment stalls, Bar & music from local musicians.
