Charity day - Cliff Hotel Gorleston
Sat 22nd Nov 2014
The Rainbow Bridge Enterprise is a charity that I have set up to support families suffering from loss and bereavement. We raise money to provide families with a "Bob the Bear" memory bear which can hold ashes or
keepsakes of a loved one. we have managed to provide 36 bears to
families so far and have raised over £1k since September. We also have
a group of volunteers that personalise the bears for families too.
In the new year we are aiming to set up a group of "chubbs's champions"
which have been named after the young lad that died on the haddiscoe bends. This group of volunteers will be supporting families in the community when faced with end of life as well as bereavement. We also hope to provide money to families eventually to help them fulfil last wishes like family trips etc.

Charity Fire Walk - Great Yarmouth
Thu 27th Nov 2014
Specialist domestic abuse charity, Leeway is inviting members of the public to take part in an exciting fire walk event. The charity is hosting the event as part of ‘Norfolk Says No’ to domestic abuse week (24th – 28th November), the fire walk challenge takes place in Great Yarmouth Market Place on Thursday 27th November 2014.

The challenge is to walk over 4 metres pf red hot glowing embers. This once in a lifetime experience, gives members of the public a unique opportunity to learn from fire walking experts to walk barefoot over hot coals. Participants will be given full training, prior to the event, which will give them the belief and power to do the walk. This training gives individuals, skills and belief systems which are transferable to all aspects of life and can help people develop, where fear and doubt can prevent an individual, from becoming the person they are truly capable of being. Above all, it is also an incredibly fun event to be involved in.

The entire event will last for about 2 hours and is open to all ages as long as under 18s have parental permission and supervision. The event begins with training for the fire walk participants at 17.15, with the fire walk starting at 18.00. There is a minimum sponsorship target of £100 with a £25 refundable deposit to guarantee your place. The fire walk is run by Survivorbility Ltd who has an impressive 100% safety record.
