Funtastic Futures
A new, non profit making, group has been set up by parents of special needs children specifically for children and young adults with learning and physical disabilities. The sessions take place every Thursday from 5pm at The Ashley School, Lowestoft and cost £1 per session. Parents are asked to stay on site and to have the opportunity to socialise over a tea or coffee. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer your time to the group you can contact David or Cheryl on 01502 518660 or Adrian and Nicola on 01502 587814. Activities include drama, singing and dance.


Acting for Adults
The Seagull Theatre are holding classes for beginners and experinced actors every Tuesday at 7.30pm. This is your chance to have fun and learn with highly respected actors Tony Scannell (ex- The Bill) and Agnes Lillis. Classes are £4.00. Craft Fayre
A craft fayre is held every Tuesday at the Methodist Church in Corton from 9.30am to 3pm. Admission is free, donations will go to the British Heart Foundation.


Mencap Coffee Morning

Out There Festival Auditions

Auditions for talented local young people to get a performance slot at this year's Out There Festival are being held at the King Centre in Great Yarmouth on Wednesday 8th September from 4pm till 7pm. Auditions include performing a short piece in front of the panel. Annual Flower Festival

Charity Waterwalk

WaterWalk is a sponsored walk along Lowestoft seafront to be staged on Sunday 12th September. All funds raised will go to Cancer Research Uk. The course will run from the Royal Green up to the cliffs of Pakefield. Entry costs £5 for individuals or £20 for teams of five. Children under 14 are free but must be accompanied by an adult. 3rd Annual Custom Bike Show

The Grand Henham Steam Rally

This year's event will be held on 18th & 19th September at Henham Park near Southwold, with one of the main attractions being a pageant looking at "Fire Fighting Through the Ages". There will be heavy and light horse displays, the Colchester bird of prey display team, the Lowestoft dog agility display team, the Southwold & Reydon Corps of Drums and the Urban Allstars Majorettes. In addition there will be over a thousand vintage vehicles on display, the Ken Fox Wall of Death, Punch & Judy show, the Royal British Legion Leiston Band, craft demonstrations, a ride-on miniature railway, funfair, trade stalls, food stalls and a licenced bar. The Crucible

Halesworth Open Day
