Martham Scarecrow Festival

As this year's festival will be held on VE Day, a WW2 Theme has been set. Residents, Business Owners and organisations in Martham and surround villages are invited to enter into the following competitions. Enter a scarecrow into one of three different categories for your chance to win:
1st - £100 - Best Interpretation of Theme Scarecrow
2nd - £75 - Most Artistic / Creative Scarecrow
3rd - £50 - Most Original Scarecrow
Judging will take place on Friday 8th May 2020.
You can enter a 1940's Fancy Dress Competition for Adults & Children to win a Cash Prize and Rosette too. This competition will also take place over the three days of the Festival.
On the Village Green there will be a variety of Craft & Charity Stalls, Military Vehicles & The Chain Saw Carvers. Refreshments will be available.
There will be the annual Garden/Garage Sale and the Family Treasure Hunt , throughout the Village. Gray's Fun Fair opens Thursday evening.
Festival Programmes will be available to purchase for only £1 from the main marquee situated on the Village Green. The programmes include a Map for the locations of all the entered Scarecrows plus Yarn Bombing, Bunting, Pompoms and Decorated Properties and the Garden/Garage Sale locations.
Throughout the three days, we will be providing FREE entertaining on the Village Green. Dragons Stage School Theatre will be performing 1940's music, Simon Fay, Johnny Flinton and Impulse Dance will be performing.
Also as a bonus Village Event, The Floating Greyhounds will be playing at the Martham Sports & Social Club on the Saturday evening.
