An elderly driver has died after crashing into the central reservation of the A47 in Gorleston.
He was in his 70s, and is believed to have had a medical episode at the wheel of his Peugeot 207.
The crash happened at around 2pm on the northbound carriageway on the approach to the Beacon Park roundabout.
The driver was taken to the James Paget Hospital but died while receiving treatment.
There was a female passenger in the car, but she was uninjured.
The road was closed for around three hours while officers investigated the scene, and they have now issued an appeal for witnesses.
Anyone who saw what happened, or the manner of driving before the crash, should contact PC Simone Sutcliffe from the Roads Armed Policing Team at Acle on 101.
