Police are investigating the death of a woman in the town and have arrested two people in connection with it.
The ambulance service was called at around 11.40pm on 5th August to an address on South Market Road following reports a woman had fallen down some stairs.
She suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital but passed away on 7th August.
Police say, on 10th August, they received 'significant' information from a member of the public and are now treating her death as suspicious.
The victim has been provisionally named by officers as Linda Rainey, 60, of Harley Road.
A woman aged in her 50s has been arrested on suspicion of murder and a man, also in his 50s, has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The two, from Yarmouth, remain in custody at this time and they were known to the victim.
