Two Released After Being Arrested Following the Death of 3 Year-Old Girl on Inflatable Trampoline

A man and a woman arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of a 3 year-old girl on a Norfolk beach have been released by police.

A man and a woman both aged in their 40s from the Great Yarmouth area have been released after being arrested in connection with the incident but remain under investigation while enquiries continue.

Ava-May Littleboy, from Somersham, died after being thrown from an inflatable trampoline on Gorleston beach on Sunday July 1.

Last week Ava-May's family set up a Crowdfunding page to raise money to erect a park bench in her name in Somersham. So far it's raised more than £12,000.

A post mortem examination revealed she died from a head injury after the bouncy castle she was on exploded.

Specialist experts were called in to assist with the investigation on Tuesday July 3 to examine the inflatable equipment.

Any witnesses to the incident on Gorleston beach who have not yet spoken to the police or anyone who may have captured the incident on their phone or camera is encouraged to call Norfolk Police on 101.

Alternatively you can contact contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
